Home-bucket visarjan. A recurring theme is a gentle eco-visarjan done at home: a Shadu Mati (shaadu-maati) Bappa is immersed in a bucket of plain water and dissolves cleanly, and the leftover clay-rich water is returned to balcony plants and garden beds instead of a drain.

It depends on the size and material. Devta's brochure cites roughly two hours for its Paper Lagda idols in a bucket or tub of plain water, and a Shadu Mati clay idol softens and breaks down similarly.
