We manufacture our eco-friendly Ganesh murtis using eco-friendly biodegradable and non-toxic materials. The options include upcycled Paper Lagda (paper mache pulp and organic tapioca starch glue), traditional riverbed Shadu Mati (natural Konkan clay), seed-embedded soil coco-peat mixes (Tree Ganesha), and auspicious purified Vedic Cow Dung (Gomaya). We bind and paint them exclusively using organic, organic water-soluble color pigments.
In a domestic bucket, tub, or garden flowerpot, our pure Paper Lagda (Paper Mache) and Shadu Mati (natural clay) murtis dissolve completely within approximately two hours. Our purified Gomaya (Cow Dung) idols dissolve even faster, taking less than 30 minutes, turning into rich organic compost.
Yes, our exclusive decorated series features non-toxic, safe mineral-based pigments that absorb ambient room light and radiate a peaceful, soft aura in dark rooms. These glow pigments are positioned by Devta as a safer decorative option; confirm current material details before booking.
Our Paper Mache (Paper Lagda) idols are naturally damage-resistant and resilient to vibrations. To guarantee safe delivery to export markets (USA, Canada, UK, Dubai), each idol is multi-layered in protective bubble wrap, secured inside heavy-duty cardboard boxes, and finally placed in customs-compliant fumigated solid wooden crates. This approach has secured us a a packaging process designed to reduce transit damage.
The main differences are weight and durability. Shadu clay is traditional, heavy, and very fragile. For example, a 24-inch Shadu Clay idol weighs around 30 kg and breaks easily during travel. A 24-inch Paper Mache idol weighs only 3 kg (80% lighter as per brochure), is damage-resistant (transit-safe), and is highly recommended for international shipping and high-rise apartments.
Absolutely. Devta murtis are painted using only organic, organic water-soluble color pigments derived from turmeric, red soil, sandalwood, and leaf extracts, bound with vegetable-based natural starch glue. The remaining water and pulp contain lower-impact materials as described by the company, making it ideal and highly safe to drain into your home garden or balcony plant pots.
Yes, we craft grand Paper Mache (Paper Lagda) Ganesha idols in sizes of 36, 48, and 60 inches (up to 5 Feet) specifically designed for housing societies, apartment blocks, corporate lobbies, and Ganpati mandals. Being ultra-lightweight and extremely durable, they can be safely moved and dissolved in an inflatable plastic tub at the mandap site itself, avoiding public water immersion queues.

Bookings can be cancelled within 24 hours of confirmation for a full refund. After 24 hours but before production begins, cancellations may be subject to a processing fee depending on materials already prepared. Once production has started — especially for custom sizes, mandap idols, or export consignments — bookings cannot be cancelled, as every piece is handcrafted to order. Size and design modifications are accommodated free of cost if requested before the moulding stage.
Keep the idol in its original packaging, in a cool and dry indoor space, away from direct sunlight, moisture, or air-conditioner drafts. Avoid stacking heavy items on top. Because our idols use natural pulp and clay, prolonged humidity can soften them — so do not store them in bathrooms, basements, or near open windows during monsoon. If you receive the idol weeks before the festival, unpack and inspect within 48 hours of delivery and contact us if you spot any transit issue.
Eco-friendly idols require specialised natural raw materials — Konkan riverbed Shadu clay, upcycled paper cellulose, organic pigments, and tapioca-starch binders — plus 14–21 days of slow shade drying, all hand-finished by skilled artisans. Mass-produced Plaster of Paris idols skip every one of those steps and use chemical paints. When you book a Devta idol, you are also paying fair wages to rural sculptors in Sion, Mahul, and Alibaug, and funding a government-recognised green manufacturing model. The price reflects authentic handcraft and environmental responsibility — not just material cost.
